Seven Things to Know

1. Family: Family is a priority for Rod. He has been happily married for twelve years to Kathy, a family practice physician, and they are raising two active boys, Rodney and William.
2. Business Background: Rod’s career history is very diverse. He spent 17 years in business, including 13 years in Fortune 500 Companies. His experience includes corporate management, international project management, purchasing, quality, product support, recruiting, and off-shoring. He is a business owner from a family of business owners.
3. Coaching Experience: Rod is a Certified John Deere Mastery Coach and has five years of corporate coaching experience during which time he successfully coached high-level managers and executives. He has also utilized multiple coaches and mentors for his personal development over the past six years.
4. Education:  Rod earned a B.S. from Iowa State University and a MBA from the University of Iowa.
5. Professional Accomplishments: Rod was responsible for growing a multi-country team from 13 members to 45 members in eighteen months. He also developed the systems and processes used to identify, track, and complete cost reduction projects which aided the division to exceed its goals three years in a row.
6. Professional Memberships: Rod is a member of the International Coach Federation, the American Society for Quality, the Project Management Institute, and the Visitor Host for the Corridor Connections Chapter of Business Network International.
7. Community Service: A youth coach for soccer, baseball and football, Rod is also the Wickham PTO Treasurer and the Vice President of the Johnson County Iowa Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Board. He is a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce, and the past treasurer of the Scott County Medical Society Alliance.
